lucky guy won $2 million here. frederick walk contacted the lottery office earlier today. officials said he had never purchased a lottery ticket before. the interesting part about the story is that he found the place that he used to purchase the ticket with and had already been sold out and that's the one that he got his powerball ticket and that gentleman just got $2 million richer today. the numbers were already picked on that ticket. he just turned it in and gave his money. well, there were just eight winners across the country who won the same same way. they won $2 million since they paid for the extra power play option. well, they want change and they want -- they want change and they want it now. find out what they're calling for that will affect children across the state. and who knew florida -- law says if you need to live with your significant other, you need to

[cheering and applause] >>. >> reporter: another wild republican presidential debate in south carolina on the fox business network tonight. we are little over two weeks away from the all important iowa caucus, so the heat is on for candidates who connect with voters. we brought in our political power panel to break in the debate tonight. joining us democratic bloger and political consultant mark mills. >> thank you so much for coming n.we appreciate it. >> well, as expected, the candidates attacked president obama and hillary clinton but tonight, they also took jabs at

is winning the debate so far, rhetta. >> reporter: many i think donald trump is winning the debate. he's making sure he stays on point and actually, ted cruz set him up for the 9/11, the new york statement that he made and he's making fireworks. >> mark, who are you impressed with tonight so far? >> i think if this debate is any indication, the race is really a three-way race. trump and cruz went in to a lively debate, went right after each other on whether cruz being born in canada is qualified to be president, which, in many cases, is a nonstarter issue. it's been around for a week, but it's having some impact apparently on some polls in iowa where cruz is lose something momentum against trump, and so that's why trump keeps harping at it. that's been the most active exchange between the candidates but i think we're starting to see a race between cruz, trump
10:31 pm
and rubio. >> my friend donald said that he had had his lawyers look at this from every which way, and there was no issue there. there was nothing to this issue. [laughter] >>. >> but since september the constitution hasn't changed -- [laughter] >> but the poll numbers have. [cheering] >> and i recognize -- i recognize that donald is dismayed that his poll numbers are falling in iowa. >> it's a big question mark on your head -- and you can't do that to the party; you really can't. you can't do that to the party. you have to have certain 25e. fen there was a 1% chance it's far greater than 1%. you have great constitutional lawyers and say you can't run. >> reporter: now, you heard the audience cheering for ted cruz, but rhetta, they actually booed donald trump when he was talking
10:32 pm
about if cruz can actually run for president. were you surprised by hearing those boos? >> reporter: absolutely, i was surprised. this brother issue is coming to a point where they're both, if they're going to look at it, they're both actually guilty of what they said about president obama, you know, was so-called guilty of, so this is really interesting, and i was surprised to hear those boos. >> ted cruz was talking about why he did not disclose that he got $1.5 million-dollar loan. he called ate paperwork error. did you buy that excuse? >> i really did. it is filing different disclosures, all of that. it's pretty complicated, but it shows cruz's strength as well. trump even admitted during the debate if cruz wasn't doing so well, he wouldn't be attacked the way he is. i think cruz is the biggest trump right now to trump and trump and his people and the media are exposing some issues with cruz that cruz is going to

have to deal with if he wants to be a competitor ooh donald trump >> reporter: and our two local candidates went after hillary clinton. let's take a listen to what marco rubio and jeb bush said tonight. >> someone who cannot handle intelligence information appropriately cannot be commander in chief and someone who lies to the families of those four victims in ben ghazi can never be president of the united states. >> if she gets elected, she's under investigation with the fbi f.she gets elected, her first 100 days, she might be going back and forth between the white house and the courthouse. >>. >> reporter: mark, what do you think about what our florida guys had to say tonight? >> i think it's a legitimate issue with hillary clinton. it's not only an issue for republicans against hillary clinton; it's an issue with democrats against hillary clinton about whether this was this is going to really hurt her campaign and i think partly it may be responsible for bernie sanders doing much better against clinton than he has previously. >> what do you think?
10:34 pm
think it fell flat? >> i don't think this holds any water at all. i think she can definitely run for president and she can also be president. i don't think this thing that they're talking about has anything to do with her candidacy. >> all right thanks for coming in tonight. we appreciate your insight. >> thank you. and the next republican presidential debate is on thursday, january 20th in iowa on the fox news channel, but the democrats' debate on sunday in south carolina. >> coming up at 10:00, you can't say he was expecting this. the delivery man got caught in the crossfire today after bullets stopped flying. details coming up. >> news at 11:00, he strikes out on a whim to help out the locals. and a group of floridians threw down a combined $10040,000 for powerball tickets. find out what they could end up walking away with and why it
